Please see our latest client guidelines below

Updated 27th April 2020

We will use this page to keep our clients informed about the ongoing changes and developments during the current situation. We will also post regular updated on out Facebook PageWe need client support in minimising the risk of spread while continuing to provide care for your pets.

In response to the latest government guidelines we are now also able to offer some vaccinations as well as providing essential care to avoid unnecessary suffering or maintain animal welfare. In all cases social distancing must be respected in order to protect our clients and our staff. Please check what procedures are in place before your visit. In order to help you understand the best way to look after your pet, please read the advice on this page.

Retford and Ollerton

Our Retford surgery remains open however due to the current COVID-19 pandemic we have had to reduce the opening hours of the Ollerton surgery which will now be open on a Tuesday and Thursday morning for appointments. Ollerton clients will be able still be able to access telephone consultations and emergency medical services via our Retford Practice by calling 01777 703663. Opening times may vary so please check with practice for the most up to date information.

We are having to limit some of our non essential services including routine appointments. For the time being we will not be offering face to face routine appointments which includes; weight clinics, nail clips, anal glands, 6 month check up and flea and worm advice. We will still provide essential services, but it will be advising clients over the phone to begin with. We will also still provide access to our weighing scales for dosing or checks.

For post operative checks we will be utilising emails, photographs and phone calls where this would have been a check up at the practice. We will be continuing with post operative checks for operations where the checks are 100% needed or if there is concern from the vet or client following procedures or surgery.

Essential Prescription medications will be available for collection/drop off and we ask that clients pay for medications over the phone to allow minimal time in the practice and contact. Please also allow for extra time when requesting medications as although we are still receiving our orders, they are not as frequent as normal.

Flea and worm treatment is available via our Medication Drop Off Service. (see below for more information on the drop off service)

Our out of hours and weekend emergency services are planning to continue as normal. We urge clients who are isolating or pose any potential risk of infection spread to stay away from the practice so we can maintain our service to the standards we demand of ourselves and that our clients deserve.

The service we are able to provide during the current situation will constantly be reviewed and updated.

Thank you for your continued co-operation

Medication Drop Off Service

We are excited to introduce a medication drop-off service for all of our existing clients!! We are trialling it over the next few weeks whilst government restrictions are in place and will be for all essential medications as well as flea and wormers and will be free of charge. All medications must be paid for in advance - there will be no exceptions. Flea and Worm treatment can be ordered via the website and will be added to the drop off service.

We will run the service in zones local to the practice, catering for a different area each day and the plan is to do the drop offs between 3pm and 5pm each day of the working week.

One of our team will aim to drop off your medication to your doorstep on the allotted day and we must see you receive the medication in person (from a distance to observe social distancing guidelines) so we will call you at the time of delivery to let you know we are there. If this is not possible then we must take the medication back to the practice with us. Please observe social distancing guidelines and do not approach our team until they have retreated to a safe distance so that we can help protect them and yourselves!

We will assess how well it works over the next couple of weeks and may be subject to changes whilst we work out the kinks.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our lovely clients for their patience and understanding during these difficult times. As always, we are here for you and your pets and happy to deal with all your concerns. Please call us at our practices for more information.
